Most backpackers stop in Inisfail for one reason and that is fruit picking, although this small community is probably best known for the cyclone that flattened the town March 2006 and again in 2011.
There are a fair few bars in Innisfail however most people just follow each other from one of the hostels to another to create their own fun.
